Honourable Minister for Trade & Industry, Hanna Tetteh, had said her ministry would do everything possible to promote a new national everyday wear. Speaking during the official launching of the of the Ministry’s national everyday wear, she said such a promotion would help to encourage local production and encourage other corporate entities to emulate this example.
“You cannot promote a product that you are aversed to, and we can champion the national everyday wear if we set the pace for others to follow†said the Minister.
She however requested for more colours to bring variety into the system.
Hanna Tetteh revealed that similar projects would be launched soon and called on Ministries, Agencies and Departments to emulate this example to ensure that the local textile manufacturers stay in business. She said, aside of this, we would be promoting made in Ghana wear to creat business opportunities for others.
