Hon.
Sampson Ahi is the Deputy Minister for
Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry and the Member of Parliament for Bodi
constituency in the Western North Region Constituency.
He
is a Ghanaian politician with extensive experience in governance and public
service. He holds a Master’s Degree in Governance and Leadership and a Bachelor
of Laws (LLB) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
He also earned a BA (Hons.) in Political Science and Religion from the
University of Ghana.
Hon. Ahi has
been a Member of Parliament since 2005, representing the Juaboso Constituency
until 2013 and the Bodi Constituency thereafter.
He
has served as Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works & Housing and as
Deputy Majority Chief Whip.
Additionally, he is a member of the ECOWAS
Parliament and has contributed to various parliamentary committees, including
Education, Energy, Gender and Children, and Agriculture.
Beyond
his political career, he has international exposure through ministerial and
parliamentary delegations to global conferences, including the UN and ECOWAS.
His background also includes managerial roles in the private sector and a brief
teaching career.
